Memory performing at Japan. The mic.

I have perform in some Asia countries like China,Korea,Singapore,Vietnam,Brunei, Indonesia & of course Malaysia, but in Japan. ..i was shock the Mic is diffrent,small,silver colour,but yet good sound producing mike. At 1st i tought it was joke...but thats the mic they widely used there.hehe...my memory performing in Japan last October in NYC,TOKYO.

우리 대중음악에 반해 한국어 노래를 부르는 말레이시아 가수가 있습니다.

'트로트'가 가장 자신있다는 31살 젊은 가수 디오르 씨인데요.

다음달 한국어 음반을 내고 본격적인 활동을 준비하고 있는 디오르씨를 송병훈 리포터가 만나봤습니다.

[리포트]

모델 경연대회의 시작을 알리는 무대.

귀에 익은 트로트 곡으로 분위기를 이끄는 사람은 말레이시아 가수 디오르 씨입니다.

[인터뷰:파르하나, 관객]
"공연이 아주 좋았어요. 무엇보다 춤추면서 차차차 하는 것이 정말 좋았어요."

[인터뷰:이안 마난, 행사 기획자]
"디오르는 말레이시아의 톱가수 중 한 명이고 최고여서 초대했습니다."

5년 전 데뷔한 디오르는 작사 작곡 뿐 아니라 뮤직비디오 연출까지 도맡는 만능 재주꾼입니다.

댄스 음악 가수로 인기를 모으던 그는 우연한 기회에 한국 대중음악을 접한 뒤 열렬한 팬이 됐습니다.

[인터뷰:디오르, 가수]
"2008년 중국에서 동방신기 디브이디를 구해와 그들의 음악을 접한 뒤 완전히 새로운 스타일의 춤과 음악에 푹 빠지게 됐습니다."

지난 2천 10년 처음 한국어 노래를 발표한 디오르는 지난해부터 '트로트'로 장르를 넓혔습니다.

노래 자체도 좋지만 댄스와 발라드 곡보다 주목받기 쉬울 것이라는 생각에서였습니다.

덕분에 현지 동포들의 행사에도 자주 초대받는 단골 손님이 됐습니다.

[인터뷰:송영록, 현지 교포]
"아이돌 노래가 아닌데 공감대를 형성했는지 이런 노래까지 부르는 것을 보고 깜짝 놀랐습니다."

[인터뷰:오윤아, 현지 교포]
"이전에는 분위기가 이렇지 않았는데 한국 노래 부르는 것 보니 정말 많이 달라진 것 같아요. (제가 처음 여기 온) 7년 전과 비교하면."

다음달이면 한국어 노래를 담은 첫번째 음반이 나옵니다.

본격적인 음반 활동을 앞두고 디오르는 요즘 밤늦도록 연습실을 떠나지 않습니다.

[인터뷰:디오르, 가수]
"노래는 무대에 오르기 전에 연습을 하면서 한국인 지인들로부터 한국말에 대한 정확한 발음과 의미를 배오고 그들이 오케이 하면 무대에 오릅니다."

지금까지는 다른 가수의 트로트 곡을 불러왔지만 앞으로는 직접 만들어 볼 생각입니다.

자신의 감각을 담은 트로트 음악으로 본고장에서 인정받는 것.

31살 젊은 가수의 꿈은 한국 무대로 향하고 있습니다.
