Eid al-Fitr (Arabic, Hari Raya Aidil Fitri in Malaysia, Idul Fitri or Lebaran in Indonesia), is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan(Sawm, 9th month). The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month of Shawal(10th month).

Hari Raya Eid명절이 금년 8월 8일이다. 아랍어로는 Eid al-Fitr 라고 하고 말레이시아에서는 Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, 인도네시아에서는 Lebaran 또는 Idul Fitri라 칭함. 이는 금식을 무사히 끝내는 날( Shawal, 이슬람력 10월 초하루가 됨)을 기리며 주변의 사람들에게 나눔과 자선을 베푸는 기간이기도 해 주변 사람을 초청하는 행사가 많음.
